A STORY OF MEN, VINEYARDS AND REDEMPTION

From the union of 68 winemakers to the beating heart of a tradition
that still lives today among the rows and streets of San Pietro Vernotico.

Since 1952, wine in San Pietro Vernotico
On April 21, 1952, Cantina Sampietrana was founded by the initiative of
68 winemakers united by a common desire for “redemption”
through their own processing of grapes grown in the
local vineyards and the national market of the
wine produced using the railway that runs alongside the town.

Today, the winery is still located in the same
building in the historic center of San Pietro
Vernotico, a municipality halfway between the Apulian
capitals of Brindisi and Lecce,
and conveys to visitors the story of tradition, passion,
and a strong connection to the land.
